We had some awesome encounters this week. Lots of orcas, and humpback whales. We had encounters with killer whales on 7 of our 10 tours this week. This included visits from the T036’s, T099’s, and T049A’s.
Perhaps the most memorable whale encounter of the week however, was with two humpback whales, “Orion” and “Raptor.” We found these two whales at the south end of the Strait of Georgia, and watched as they lifted their tails high out of the water, over and over again. The best part was the incredible backdrop of Tumbo Island and the morning lighting. It was a magical encounter. We love humpback whales!
