We had our last whale watch tour of the year on Sunday. It was a very cold, and beautiful day on the water. And what a wonderful way to go out, it was. We had an awesome encounter with a “T-Party” of killer whales, that included the T034’s, T037’s, and T36’s. We met up with them in San Juan Chanel, just outside of Friday Harbor, and it was evident they had just finished up a hunt, as they were quite playful. We got to watch as the 12 orcas were very playful, and we got to see a lot of social behaviors. We also had a lot of other awesome wildlife including bald eagles, harbor porpoises, harbor seals, and a lot of steller sea lions!
It was the perfect end to an amazing whale watch season. We are so thankful to be able to spend our lives in this incredible ecosystem, and we wouldn’t be able to do it without all of you coming out with us this year, so thank you! We hope everyone has a great winter, and we hope to see you next year for a whale watch adventure! Tours will begin April 6th, 2024!
