Killer whales were the name of the game as we sighted them on 4 of our 5 tours this week! Thursday, in particular, was one of the best days of whale watching we’ve ever experienced. The morning consisted of the T046/T046B families celebrating after finding a harbor seal for lunch. We watched as the breached countless times, it was incredible. The afternoon tour consisted of the T049A and T018 families hunting a steller sea lion. The hunt was pretty intense with a lot of commotion and splashing.
Additionally, we also had visits from the T065A, and T065B families of orcas. We’ve also had a number of humpback whales start to show up this week so we look forward to more encounters with them!
